From the onset, I knew I had finally found someone who not only understood my anxiety but had actually been where I was...My husband was classed during the pandemic, as clinically extremely vulnerable and with my health anxiety and my dreadful fear of Covid I wasn’t in a good place but Jo managed to pick me up each and every session...The support she gave me over quite a few weeks was what got me through. Jo is compassionate, supportive, caring and totally trustworthy. I was able to share so much I had kept bottled up for decades. I trust Jo implicitly, not just with my past, but with the ‘tools’ she gave me enabling me to cope so much better than I ever thought I could.

Jo has helped me more than I could have imagined. Jo has helped me to talk through thinking patterns that I didn't even realise I had, from this she has helped me to understand how things that have happened in my life have led to these patterns. I have learned a lot from Jo regarding the science behind the brain, I have been shown and explained why my brain works the way it does which has given me tools for managing my everyday life.
I have come away from counselling not only feeling healthier and happier but having a better understanding of who I am. I have gone about life thinking that if nothing traumatic has happened to you then you don't need counselling, thank goodness I saw the light and came to Jo!
Little life experiences, both in our childhood and adulthood, impact us in many ways and it's so important to have someone to explore these with, I couldn't be happier with my experience and I'd encourage anyone to just drop Jo a message and let her work her magic.

I was recommended by a friend to use Jo for my child who had been having problems with anxiety since lockdown. She has provided an excellent service and has helped my son, enabling him to focus on enjoying his life once more and teaching him techniques to help alleviate anxiety Thanks again Jo, your help has been invaluable.

I cannot recommend Jo enough!!
I had tried counselling before and thought it wasn’t for me. I now realise that finding the right counsellor makes all the difference.
I went to see Jo when I felt I could no longer cope with my anxiety and everything in my life seemed very heavy due to a series of events over the past 15 years....Jo is sympathetic, patient, caring and very incisive in identifying the issues; she explains everything in-depth from a scientific point of view regarding what was going on inside my brain, which reassured me that I wasn't going crazy.
Jo has helped me develop techniques to cope better, understand my habits and patterns, break the bad habits I had and rebuild my confidence and self-esteem.
As a result of just over six months, I feel in control, grounded and confident in all parts of my life, and most importantly, I feel capable of moving forward in my life.
I will forever be thankful for Jo’s guidance; if you are looking for a therapist, you are in the right place!

My sessions with Jo helped me work through and understand anxieties and stresses that were weighing on me in my everyday life, and change my perspective when reflecting on my own actions and behaviours. Jo is an incredibly insightful person and creates an open and compassionate environment within which to talk - I have had a positive experience overall, and I have learned so much to help me in the future, I can't recommend Jo enough.

It is fair to say I was highly sceptical of whether counselling would actually benefit me. I like to think of myself as very self-aware and analytical. How wrong I was.
The first couple sessions went by without any major breakthroughs. They were to lay out a path for the weeks ahead. I have learned that patience is key with counselling. You cannot possibly expect to unlock all the answers to your life struggles after a single conversation.
The skill set and degree training Jo has undertaken is evident from the outset. She has this fantastic ability to help navigate your mind to better understand yourself.
I had gone to Jo to help deal with the pressures of being a father, business owner and trustee. But I came away with so much more than that. Without any question, Jo gets my highest recommendation.

Until I met Joanna I had never felt understood by anyone...For the first time that I could remember, I felt relaxed talking to someone new. I didn't feel judged like I have done in the past...Talking with Joanna really gave me motivation and courage to move forward as she showed me a lot of compassion, supporting me through some difficult emotions...I have met with other wellbeing health care professionals however none expressed the same level of empathy, compassion, or understanding as Joanna was able to.
